It’s been five long years since a Canadian team has won a gold medal at the world junior championship. But after beating Slovakia 5-1 in the semifinal, Canada has found itself just one win away from the gold.
Standing in the way is Russia, who beat Sweden 4-1 to advance to the championship game.

The last time these two teams met in a final was 2011 when the Russians shocked the Canadians by coming back from a three-goal deficit in the third period to win the game 5-3.
