The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has finally ventured into the world of online gambling.
By launching its Internet gaming site, PlayOLG.ca Thursday, the OLG is hoping to tap into the estimated $400 million to $500 million that some 500,000 Ontario gamblers are spending annually on sites elsewhere.
Ontario joins British Columbia, Manitoba, Quebec and all of the Atlantic Provinces in offering online gaming, featuring interactive casino-style games including slots and table games such as blackjack, baccarat, single-player poker and roulette, as well as the sale of lottery tickets.
