New Brunswick Power warns of telephone scam

FREDERICTON – New Brunswick Power is warning about a telephone scam targeting utility customers.

NB Power says several customers have received phone calls from people claiming to be from the utility.

The customer is told they need to make an urgent payment to avoid having their power disconnected.

The utility says customers who receive similar calls should call police or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
