Majestic bird observed

It’s still pretty early, but we may as well declare this the best news article of 2015.

The Oakville Beaver reports that a resident of Oakville, Ont., recently saw a snowy owl perched on a Town of Oakville sign at the Oakville Harbour.

According to the newspaper, Oakville resident Gord Woods spotted the bird while walking his dog Saturday and snapped a photo with his smartphone. It wasn’t easy, though, as Woods had to keep hold of his rambunctious puppy while framing the perfect shot.

“It’s tough to hold a puppy and a cell phone at once, but the pictures do signify a ‘Homecoming,’” he told the Oakville Beaver.

What a magical place Oakville must be.
