The Halifax Mooseheads have made a last minute deal.
Overage defenceman Jesse Lussier has been traded for a 2015 third round draft pick from the Chicoutimi Sagueneens, the local Quebec Major Junior Hockey League club announced Monday.
The mid-season trade period started Dec. 19 and wraps up Tuesday, with the deadline set for 1 p.m. Atlantic Time.
Lussier, 20, joined the Mooseheads just prior to the 2013-14 season as a free agent.
The Petawawa, Ont., native has three goals and assists for 12 points total in 24 games with the Herd this season.
Chicoutimi is currently 15th in the QMJHL, while Halifax is 11th overall this season.
