Convicted murder ‘unaccounted for’ at Saskatchewan prison

Saskatchewan RCMPKevin Michael Sheets, 47, is serving an indeterminate sentence for second-degree murder.

A search is under way for a convicted murderer may have escaped from the Saskatchewan Penitentiary in Prince Albert.

The Correctional Service of Canada says Kevin Michael Sheets was “unaccounted for” during a count Wednesday evening in the minimum security unit.

The RCMP in Prince Albert were contacted and an arrest warrant was issued.

Sheets is 47 and serving an indeterminate sentence for second-degree murder.

He is described as five-foot seven, 161 pounds with a fair complexion, brown eyes, brown hair and tattoos on both arms.
