RICHIBUCTO, N.B. – Police in New Brunswick have charged a Moncton man with failing to stop at the scene of a fatal accident, but investigators don’t know where he is and they’re asking for the public’s help to find him.
The RCMP have issued an arrest warrant for 32-year-old Ronald Fairweather.
Police say a man driving a stolen pickup collided with another vehicle on Route 116 on New Year’s Day, killing a 19-year-old man from Bass River.
Another 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man were critically injured in the crash.
The Mounties say Fairweather may be driving a four-door, 2003 Mazda Protege 5 with a broken rear window that is covered with black plastic.
The RCMP in Richibucto have charged Fairweather with failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing death.
