Bondy: Lampard’s delayed arrival for NYCFC is a big mess

It was a huge deal when New York City Football Club brought Frank Lampard to town last July, announcing his two-year pact in Brooklyn Bridge Park. The new, big-city team had its new superstar midfielder, a renowned veteran from the Premier League and England’s national side.
