BOUCHERVILLE, Que. — The upcoming world championship light-heavyweight fight between Jean Pascal and Sergey Kovalev will take place at Montreal’s Bell Centre.
Promoters Main Events and Interbox confirmed the venue for the March 14 fight Wednesday in a joint press release.
Russia’s Kovalev (26-0-1, 23 KO) is the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion.
Montreal-based Pascal (29-2-1, 17 KO), last stepped into the ring Dec. 6, when his fight against Argentina’s Roberto Bolonti ended in a controversial no contest.

Pascal, a former WBC and IBO light-heavyweight champion, hit Bolonti with a short right as they were coming out of a clinch along the ropes in the second round and the Argentine dropped to the canvas. He stayed there for several minutes, taking oxygen from ring medical staff before he was taken out on a stretcher to hospital.
Referee Michael Griffin ruled it a no contest due to an unintentional foul.
